Safe Corner for children
In cooperation with the Herbert Stepic CEE Charity EHO is, since 01 December 2016 successfully realizing the project “Safe corner for children” within Refugee admission center in Subotica. In the Safe Corner children can participate in various creative and educative activities, primarily German and English language lessons. Main goal of the Safe Corner is prevention of children’s secondary traumatization.
Safe Corner services are used by children 7–14 years of age from different countries (Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran). On daily level Safe Corner services are used by about 40 children. Number of children in this admission center in Subotica is about 60.
Beside children’s activities, Safe Corner is used by their mothers and other nursing mothers to change baby diapers and all other important daily routines required for healthy children’s development.
Working hours of the Safe Corner is 09-16hours, Monday through Friday.
