Closure of the three-year project to support returnees from Germany to Serbia
During the three-year project “Support for the Reintegration of Vulnerable Families Returning Voluntarily or or Being Deported from Germany to Serbia”, there were 233 families with 1,217 household members who received support.
Support to these families is consisted of helping to improve housing conditions, integrating children into the education system, providing information, counseling and support during procurement of personal documents, economic empowerment through self-employment, and emergency assistance in food, hygiene and medication.
The project was implemented through the Integration Network formed within this project which consists of 25 trained local associates working with returnees in 32 municipalities in Serbia. They provided active support and followed the process of reintegration of returnee families.
The project was implemented with the financial support of Diakonie Württemberg from Germany.
