EHO Brought Electricity to Bangladeš |

The works on the installation of 60 electricity measurement units in the Bangladeš settlement near Novi Sad were finished in September 2009. In October 2009 all of 60 houses in Bangladeš were connected on municipal electrical distribution system. Nowadays after 37 years of darkness, 232 persons who live here have electricity.

New Cycle of the School of Ecumenism |

The new Cycle of the School of Ecumenism has started on 10th October 2009 and will finish on 22nd May 2010. The first lectires were started in October . There are 22 accepted applicants from church and secular backgrounds. The project includes lectures (with discussions), workshops and excursions. The purpose is better mutual knowing and understanding of members of churches and religious communities with students of social, humanistic and theological sciences and media and social workers. The overall goal is to contribute to peacebuilding in the region. Lecturers and event facilitators are promnent personalities from religious communities and public. Our approach is top support "grassroots ecumenis". This should be a place where particišpanzts are encouraged to research others who are different, and not only to enjoy in encycklopedic info about (C)churches or declarations signed in meeting of church dignitaries. In the formal „End of Schoolyear" are participants are required to write a short essay that will be published in the "Ecumenical Digest". THE RIGHT TO BE HEARD: THE EU ENLARGMENT POLICY AND CIVIL SOCIETY IN THE WESTERN BALKANS WORKSHOP Balkan Civil Society Development Network (BCSDN) in partnership with Aprodev organized a workshop under the title “The Right to Be Heard: The EU Enlargement Policy and Civil Society in the Western Balkans”. The workshop took place on 10th September, 2009 in Brussels. It was attended by 42 representatives of local CSOs from the Balkan region, European Commission, European Parliament, EU networks, as well as national governments and inter-governmental organizations from the region.
