Seminar on Constructive Conflict Resolution (2)
The seminar on constructive conflict resolution, co-organized by the Ecumenical Peace Centre from Dresden (Germany), Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization (Novi Sad) and Conrad Adenauer Foundation (Belgrade)  raised much interest.  There were more than 80 applicants, 29 participants were selected, representing different organizations from various parts of Serbia including Kosovo.
As promised, the seminar was held in Feketić  on 7-11 April with trainers Annemarie Mueller and Annete Seidel from Dresden who utilized different working methods, such as Forum Theater that is rather unknown in our country. Candlelight Memorial 2008 in Novi Sad

On Sunday 18th May 2008 the EHO Red Line Center  held the 2008 Candlelight Memorial in Novi Sad in  memory of the deceased from AIDS. This is the fourth year in a row that Red Line volunteers have commemorated this Day, and this year they were joined by volunteers from the PREVENT organization from Novi Sad. During this public event we talked with passers-by raising their awareness, giving out publicity materials and collecting support messages for people who live with HIV infection.  A total of  239 messages were collected; they will be posted on the  www.crvenalinija.org very soon. Opening of the Social-Diaconal Centre

The Social - Diaconal centre of the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization "Karoly Beres" was opened on Friday, 9th May 2008 on 12:00 hours in the courtyard of EHO Centre in Novi Sad, Ćirila i Metodija 21.

The programme of the opening event was moderated by Ms Ghandour Šal Julija and programme participants were:

  1. The Choir of the Evangelical Methodist Church “Gloria”
  2. Susan McIvor representing the Methodist Church of Great Britain 
  3. the clergy  of EHO founder churches
At the opening event Ms Anna Bu spoke of the significance of the Social - Diaconal Centre for the future work of EHO and the Centre was opened by President of EHO Assembly - Ms. Melanija Nađ. The opening was attended by EHO staff and volunteers, family members of the late Karoly Beres, and many friends from the country and abroad.
