Online conference on support services to returnee families within social protection system

18. Dec 2020.

One of the conclusions of the round table is that the interests and safety of the child and the family are the highest priorities of the work of each individual employed in the social protection system, but also of society and the state as a whole. Furthermore, the conclusion is that the needs of families are complex and multiple, and that each family is part of many systems whose support is needed in different periods of life, and that if their support is lacking, problems generally only deepen, and the family is harder to cope with the crisis in which she found herself.

In order for returnee families to approach a comprehensive, holistic approach with the aim of (re) integrating and empowering for independent living in the community, a multidisciplinary approach is necessary, ie cooperation of the public - governmental and civil - non - governmental sector.

The round table was held online through the ZOOM platform provided for this purpose by the Chamber of Social Protection to which the meeting was registered. The Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization gathered experts from the social protection system this way.

The aim of the meeting was to exchange information and experiences in the field of implementation of specific activities in the field that are of interest to returnee families returned under the Readmission Agreement, and, to acquaint the professional public with the Guide for Integration of Returnees. regulatory framework and mapping of services in 17 municipalities in the Republic of Serbia.
