12. Jun 2021.

The International Day for the Elimination of Child Labor, June 12, was established in 2002 and it is a reminder day of the children in society with the street as a main factor of identification. Toward this occasion, a series of workshops on Sports Activities has begun, held for the third consecutive year within the project "Field work with children at risk of being involved in life and / or street work", aimed to provide support in organizing children’s free time. The target group are children and young people in difficult life circumstances exposed to the risks of overtime stay on street.

Each Saturday, volunteers engaged in the project together with peer educators from the substandard settlement Veliki Rit, gather this youth group in morning hours, and provide them an alternative use of free time. This year's cycle includes 27 children and young people. After the end of the summer part of the workshops, the participants will be given shoes, and the workshops are expected to be continued in the fall, when they will be awarded with letters of appreciation for participation. Representatives of the professional police association, Dr. Rudolf Arčibald Rajs, are also involved in the organization of the workshops.

The project "Field work with children at risk of being involved in life and / or work on the street" is implemented by EHO with the support of H. Stepic CEE Foundation.
