These days, selected were 25 beneficiaries from Sremska Mitrovica, Ruma, Pećinci, Sombor and Novi Sad for the EHO support for self-employment, which is a part of the project "Assistance for a New Start" primarily for returnees from Germany and other Western European countries, and also partially for non-returnees, five of these 25.

All of these beneficiaries have previously passed the telephone training on business plan writing and our Selection committee undertook a selection of their applications with appropriate business plans. This shall be followed first by compulsory participation of each beneficiary, which is, purchase of operating supplies for their work. And the next step in this process is the delivery of requested tools to the home address of each beneficiary. In addition to the individual donation in tools worth 750 euros without VAT, our beneficiaries shall receive professional support from EHO advisors in running their own business until November 2022, all in order to achieve better business results and higher income for them and their household.

The services provided are supported by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH under the "Migration for Development" (PME) program. The program is part of the broader initiative "Return to New Opportunities" of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
