On the occasion of the International Family Day, celebrated on May 15, EHO associates engaged in the project "Empowerment of Women and Refugee Children" organized activities in the reception center Šid, that were enjoyed by all present at the mentioned place. On that occasion a sports day was organized with the support of the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia. In the yard of the reception center, a training ground was set up, where teams consisting of parents and children competed. The most successful were awarded symbolic, appropriate prizes. The goal of this activity is to encourage and strengthen family cohesion, raise awareness of the importance of togetherness and strengthen parent-child relations within the family. During the competition, there was a cheerful, pleasant atmosphere, where everyone found their role, whether as a competitor, observer or fan. At least for a while, everyday worries and problems were forgotten, and the children enjoyed playing with their parents.
