The Annual General Meeting of Eurodiaconia was held this year in Vienna from 19 to 22 May, hosted by Diakonie Austria.

The central theme of the meeting was “Services – Advocacy – Communities: Three Contributions for Europe Today and Tomorrow.” Through a series of working sessions, it was emphasized that these three components are the key pillars through which diaconal organizations put their core values into practice: by providing direct support to individuals, advocating for systemic change through public policy engagement, and strengthening local communities.

The General Meeting served as a platform for exchanging good practices in the fields of social inclusion, the sustainable development of social welfare services, and responses to contemporary social challenges across Europe.

Damir Krkobabić represented the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization at this international gathering.
