A representative of the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization (EHO) and Božana Fingerhut, EHO Girls' Club participant, were hosted in the TV show "Them Rromano" on the Second Program of Radio-Television Vojvodina.

On this occasion they presentation the EHO project "Empowering Roma Girls and Women", implemented with the support of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).

During the TV talks, the topics were: importance of creating a safe and stimulating environment in which Roma girls can develop their potential, build self-confidence and achieve their educational and life goals. A special attention was given to Božana's personal testimony, about her family's support to participate in the Girls' Club, to persevere in her education and believe in her own abilities.

Božana emphasized that success in education depends largely on family support, but also on one's own faith in her abilities. She addressed the challenges faced by many children and young people from the Roma community – living in poverty, prejudice and discrimination among peers – emphasizing that none of these obstacles should be a reason for girls to give up on their education and their dreams.

She also shared her vision for the future, saying that in five years she sees herself as an educated and accomplished young woman who will motivate other girls from the Roma community with her example to continue their education and believe in themselves. Her desire is to be a supporter to younger girls who are going through similar challenges, and further the support she herself received through the activities of the EHO.

This TV feature appearance once again showed how important empowerment, education and community support are for creating equal opportunities for Roma girls and women, and also that investment in their development contributes to positive changes in the entire community.
