Daily Center for Persons With Disabilities

The Center aims at improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities, developing activism and independence, as well as the economic empowerment of persons with disabilities. Various types of workshops are available as part of the occupation program, with the most notable being the EHO tailoring workshop, a project designed to be a precursor to a social enterprise and aimed at employing people with disabilities and the most employable of population categories. The workshop engages two professional tailors who sew unique garments made from used wardrobe and waste textiles. Daycare users and senior beneficiaries can also engage in assisted tailoring operations. So far we have successfully presented the work of EHO tailoring workshop at various exhibitions, bazaars and fashion shows. Every year we also organize a sewing course for women from marginalized population categories and in 2019, 8 women completed this course.
