Social Inclusion and Human Rights

The project is aimed to ensure greater participation of women in society in local communities. Thus, EHO will provide training that will empower women in the STEM field (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), and then provide them with mentoring support.

The EHO Tailoring Workshop, which has been part of our organization since 2017, carries a strong social mission and represents a key activity that helps women from vulnerable groups gain economic independence and professional skills. This workshop offers an opportunity for women with disabilities and those who are harder to employ to learn the craft of sewing and, through creative work, improve their social and economic situation.

The organizing of creative-cultural workshops shall lead primarily to to the improvement of the quality of life of old people, improving their general psycho-physical and social-economic status and reducing poverty among this population...

The main goal of the project is to empower and build the capacity of smaller Roma citizens' associations from the territory of AP Vojvodina to implement local initiatives that respond to the social, educational, cultural and other needs of the Roma community and to improve the position of the Roma community at the local level through the implementation of small local projects.

The three-year project of the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization (EHO), supported through the program of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA), aims to support Roma girls to continue their education and their mothers and/or women in the family to create a supportive family environment for their children.

The project aims to contribute to poverty reduction through non-discriminatory, sustainable and socially responsible inclusion of the most vulnerable members of the Roma community and other marginalized persons living in substandard conditions. The project activities' implementation partnership agreements were signed between EHO and: City of Niš, City of Kragujevac, municipalities Velika Plana, Kovin, Beočin, and (Belgrade city) municipalities of Zvezdara and Voždovac.

In order to improve the socio-economic status of marginalized groups in Vojvodina, EHO launched a three-year project (2022-2025), consisting of two components: economic empowerment and educational integration. It is planned to support 588 members of marginalized groups in Vojvodina during the project duration.

The overall goal of the project is to contribute to the reintegration of returnees from Germany to Serbia, support for dignified return and prevent the main reasons for repeated illegal migration. ...providing various support measures to returnee families through local integration associates that make up the Integration Network in Serbia.

The aim of this three-year project is to improve the chances and success in the education of socially deprived children and young people (children and young people from underprivileged families and those who belong to particularly vulnerable categories such as members of the Roma minority including children and/or young people with disabilities).

EHO has been implementing a project called "Mobilization and Development of the Roma Community" for several years. As part of the new three-year cycle 2021-2024, activities will be carried out aimed at improving the knowledge and skills of representatives of the Roma community from 6 municipalities...

The project, is being implemented by the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization since August 2009. Project activities are designed to support children and young people, their families. It is an effort to reduce the number of those who see the street as a major factor in own formation, and to increase the number of people involved in regular social and educational activities.
