The main goal of the project is to strengthen and build the capacity of Roma citizens' associations to initiate local initiatives that respond to the social, educational, cultural and other needs of the Roma community and to improve and improve the position of the Roma community at the local level through the implementation of small local projects.

The project has two components:

1. Organizing a forum in 6 Roma communities on the territory of Serbia - mapping the needs of the Roma community locally in the form of an open forum and meeting with the Roma and identifying the problems and challenges of the Roma community.

2. Based on the mapped needs, 6 local Roma associations will be selected on the territory of Serbia, which will respond to these needs and offer solutions in the form of small projects that will be implemented with and for the Roma community.

The forums will focus on education and the problem of Roma children dropping out of the education system.

Selected Roma organizations will be awarded grants in the amount of EUR 2,000 for the implementation of small local projects.

Local projects will run from April 2023 to July 2023.

The project "Strengthening of local Roma organizations" lasts from February 2023 to October 2023.
