Additional educational support for returnee children

1

The goal for launching this EHO project is to improve the availability of services intended for returnees based on the Readmission Agreement and increase their level of information about local services and other available forms of support, including the improvement of social cohesion, acceptance of diversity and the development of social and personal competences of children and young returnees and non-returnees in Novi Sad.

The project is thematically interconnected with the EHO project "Service Center", implemented at locations accessible to direct users (primary schools in Novi Sad attended by children from returnee families). The focus of the project is to directly influence the relationship between needs - response/support, through the organization of various support activities for children in the mentioned schools, inclusive-educational workshops, and other educational activities for children and young people. The project will also contribute to better motivation of returnees and their families to (re)integrate into society. The project is aligned with the Local Action Plan for improving the position of refugees and internally displaced persons, returnees based on the readmission agreement, migrants without established status and asylum seekers in the City of Novi Sad for the period 2022-2025.

Project implementation period: November 1, 2022 – November 31, 2023.

The project is implemented as part of the project "Strengthening national and local systems to support the effective socio-economic integration of returnees in the Western Balkans" funded by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
