The project is cooperation between the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization and the Institute of Oncology of Vojvodina. The goal of the project is to provide practical, functional, social and emotional support to patients staying at the Institute of Oncology of Vojvodina, improving the quality of their stay at the Institute, as well as promoting volunteer work in health care institutions.

The project is designed to realize as successfully as possible the vision, that has the direct benefit of patients during their stay at the Institute for its purpose, but also to provide practical assistance to the medical staff of the Institute.

Emotional support to patients includes talking with, listening to patient, making company in hours of loneliness and a range of services necessary for the daily needs of patients who are immobile or partially mobile (buying items, communication with relatives by phone, feeding, walking with the patient around the hospital, assistance in communicating with staff in a multilingual environment, assistance to staff accompanying patients for examination to another ward, etc.) which tasks make the patient's stay in the hospital more comfortable and bearable, and the small and busy staff doesn’t have time to do.
