Humanitarian volunteerism for solidarity activities II (HVSA II)
The project aims to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable communities in Serbia, Uganda, Zambia, Armenia and Georgia through the active engagement of European volunteers in humanitarian aid. Volunteering activities focus on capacity building, community development and the promotion of social and environmental sustainability to address key challenges, including social exclusion, disaster risk, education, public health and digital inclusion. By empowering communities and individuals with practical skills and knowledge, the project supports long-term development, civic engagement and increased participation in solidarity actions. Key objectives include improving social inclusion, increasing youth participation, building local capacities and raising awareness of pressing social and environmental issues in the EU and partner countries.
The project brings together a total of 10 partners: 2 from the EU (Organizations sending volunteers) and 8 from non-EU countries (Host Organizations receiving volunteers). The EU organizations - ADRA Czech Republic and ADRA Slovakia, in coordination with the receiving organizations, will recruit, prepare, and deploy 22 European Solidarity Corps volunteers in Serbia, Uganda, Zambia, Armenia, and Georgia for volunteering projects lasting up to 12 months.
During this three-year project implementation period, EHO will welcome 3 volunteers who will be involved in EHO's program activities in working with children, refugees, people on the move, and the elderly.
The project also includes conducting trainings and seminars on organizational volunteering and development, as well as managing volunteer projects.
The project is supported by the European Union through the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) program.
Project implementation time: 1.1.2026 and ends on 31.12.2028.
