A Lecture on the Application of the Law on Free Legal Aid Held
13. Dec 2021.
International Human Rights Day is celebrated around the world on December 10. This date was established at the United Nations General Assembly in 1950, because on December 10, 1948, the Universal Human Rights Declaration was enacted.
The Human Rights Declaration implies the right to life, liberty and security of person, and including the right to education, medical care, employment, social security, freedom of opinion, religion and more.
On Friday, December, the Initiative for Economic and Social Rights - A 11 held a lecture 10 in premises of our organization. The event was focused on the implementation of the Law on Free Legal Aid, with reference to the obstacles and problems of the implementation of this Law. The very goal of this Law is to provide the most vulnerable social groups with a system of justice and the opportunity to exercise their rights.
The project "Social Inclusion of Roma and Other Vulnerable Groups in Serbia 2019-2022" of the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization is all about implementing activities on building capacities of offices and services for free legal aid, as well as improving the availability of free legal aid to end beneficiaries.
The project is financially supported by the HEKS/EPER, Switzerland.
