Presentations of the EHO Work Results Within the EU Exchange Project

During the past week, the team of the project "Exchange of good practices and cooperation in humanitarian action to generate engagement" presented the results of project work. Being successful in the field of volunteerism development within the above two and a half years, participants of several presentations were acquainted with the following:
(1) The Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization has been awarded a license by the European Commission until 2027 for the program of receiving and guiding volunteers from the EU, and thus the opportunity to apply for programs under Solidarity Corps funds.
(2) Together with partner organizations, the Charitable Foundation of the Serbian Orthodox Church of Humanity from Belgrade, MHD Merhamet Sandzak from Novi Pazar, and ADRA Slovakia, trainings were realized which strengthened the capacities of each organization individually, within the mentioned program. EHO also organized a local training for volunteers with the aim of further empowerment in the field of new knowledge gained through the Exchange project.
(3) Development of a volunteer network. During the second year of the project, EHO participated in a mapping of organizations that involve volunteers in their activities. Also, as an organizer of volunteering, EHO became a part of the Novi Sad volunteer service and signed a protocol on cooperation with the OPENS.
The first mentioned presentation was held before representatives of German partner organizations from Dortmund - Evangelische Jugend Dortmund und Lünen and Ev. Noah Kirchgemeinde Dortmund, including our domestic long-standing cooperation partner organizations / institutions.
In addition to the listed partners, the organizations also involved in the project are: Asociacion CDRO (De Cooperacion para el desarrollo rural de occidente), Guatemala, Asociacion de servicios educativos y culturales, Guatemala, Asociacioj jesus obrero, Peru, Fundacion Alboan, Estonia, Fundacion servicio jesuita para refugiados Colombia, Girl child network, Kenya, Medicus mundi Italia, Servizio volontario internazionale, Italia, The Ethiopian catholic church social and development commission, Ethiopia, ASPEm, Italia.
Funds for the implementation of project activities are provided from EU funds, within the EU Aid Volunteers program.
