A training for project volunteers held

A training for the project team and volunteers who will be involved in the activities of the project "Humanitarian assistance and protection related interventions to People on the Move in Serbia" was held from April 4 to 8 in Mali Iđoš at the KÁTAI Tanya Farm.
Project activities include: Distribution of cash cards in 12 reception / asylum / transit centers in Serbia, distribution of hygiene packages in 5 reception centers (Adaševci, Principovac, Sombor, Subotica and Šid), occupation workshops in three reception centers (Sombor, Subotica and Šid ) and documentary film workshops in three reception centers (Sombor, Subotica and Sid)
All activities envisaged by the project will be implemented with the support of volunteers from the local communities of Subotica, Sid and Sombor, and this training aimed to prepare volunteers for support in the implementation of these activities.
The training was led by Slavica Ranisavljev Kovačev and Francesca Fornari, who took us through different topics in four days: understanding the context and needs of migrants, linguistic and cultural differences, development of intercultural competencies, humanitarian principles in working with the migrant population, capacity building of volunteers to identify migrants additional support is needed, etc.
