Social dialogue "Social inclusion of Roma and other vulnerable groups in Serbia 2019-2022"

On Friday, May 20, 2022. In the Palace of Serbia, the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue organized a social dialogue "Social Inclusion of Roma and Other Vulnerable Groups in Serbia 2019-2022".
Introductory remarks were made by Gordana Čomić, Minister of Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue, Anna Brtka Valent, Director of the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization, as well as Ljiljana Mihajlović, Director of the Office for Roma Inclusion of AP Vojvodina.
After the introductory speeches, the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization presented a short film that presents the way additional support in education works, as well as the results achieved in the previous period.
Slađana Jovanović, project coordinator, and Vesna Radulović from the School Administration, Novi Sad, spoke more about the support model and the results achieved.
Additional educational support is an important type of support for children who have certain learning difficulties, and who work according to the changed educational program, as well as children from the Roma community for whom the need for this service has been determined. Additional support in education is provided in 4 primary schools in the municipalities of Žabalj and Smederevska Palanka: O.Š. „Miloš Crnjanski“, Žabalj, O.Š. „Jovan Jovanović Zmaj“, Đurđevo, O.Š. “Olga Milošević”, Smederevska Palanka and O.Š. “Heroj Radmila Šišković”, Smederevska Palanka.
At the social dialogue itself, associates for inclusion in education and peer-volunteer associates got word, who spoke about the experience of the project.
