The seminar "Strengthening the capacity of the project team and employees of the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization in the field of environment and sustainable development"

The seminar "Strengthening the capacity of the project team and employees of the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization in the field of environment and sustainable development" was held in the premises of EHO. The two-day seminar was organized by the Institute for Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development "Green Circle" and Ekokoncept Pogon PR.

The first day of the seminar was held on Friday, June 17th  2022. Majda Adlešić from Ekokoncept Pogon PR was the moderator of the panel. She familiarized EHO employees with the general terms in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development.

Mara Puškaš, editor of the eEkolist, spoke about the role of media and communication in promoting the sustainability of "green solidarity" and environmental protection, and Jadranka Marčok, director of "Green Circle" presented the Institute's projects. Majda Adlešić spoke about the importance of education and how changing the way of thinking affects the state of the environment.

Nebojša Vraneš, adviser at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce for Circular Economy, gave a presentation on circular economy. After that, Majda Adlešić presented "My Zero Waste Life".

Željka Jurakić, M.Sc., from the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Novi Sad, spoke about how agriculture affects the environment.

The second day of the seminar was held on Monday, June 20th  2022. Brankica Tabak, undersecretary of the Provincial Secretariat for Urban Planning and Environmental Protection, spoke about the state of the environment and protection measures. After that, Olivija Tešić, MA, adviser in the Secretariat, introduced the employees of EHO to the protected natural assets of Vojvodina.

Mara Puskaš spoke about air quality and the challenges of developing society, while Majda Adlešić spoke about water quality and the importance of Chapter 27. At the end of the seminar, Dragana Ratković, editor of the magazine "Under the glass bell" of RTV Vojvodina, through a pictorial report from a study trip to the French city of Grenoble, presented the important topic "Sustainable development and the goals of sustainable development according to Agenda 2030."
