During the final days of August 2022, refugee reception center Šid-stanica hosted a creative workshop for women called "Freshness of Summer" realized by the educators engaged in the EHO project "Empowerment of Refugee Women and Children". In the workshop, women created handmade bags from linen, cotton and tulle, and then prepared dry and fresh lavender for decoration arrangement of the bags. The participants were allowed to choose workshop background music, allowing cheerful and creative workshop.

The above-mentioned project EHO has been implementing since 2020 with the support of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA), with the aim of providing support to women, children and young people staying in reception centers in Šid and Sombor, so that women can develop their work potential and skills. and children and young people develop their individual potentials, with the ultimate goal of feeling safe and not forgetting their dreams. Currently, a total of 6,305 refugees reside in the Republic of Serbia.
