The Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization hosted the promotion of the book of our colleague and long-time acquaintance within the peace-making ecumenical work of women. In front of a small audience, Dragica from the small Croatian village of Berak, spoke about her two decades of peace activism and advocacy for a peaceful and friendly coexistence of people in her small village. Event visitors witnessed testimonies of this ordinary woman, mother and farmer about the painful process of changing, firstly themselves and their attitudes and beliefs. Other event addresses came from participants who had the honor of collaborating with her and sharing the same values.

This event once again convinced us of the importance of the civil sector in peace-building, but also of the power of the individual, that is, an individual advocating for the well-being of own local community.
