The past week was dedicated to children in the reception centers in Šid and Sombor. Associates engaged in the project "Empowerment of refugee women and children" organized a series of educational, creative, sports activities, through which they encouraged children's socio-emotional development, cohesion and sense of belonging to the group. Children had the opportunity to develop their imagination, strengthen self-confidence, self-esteem and tolerance through the mentioned activities.

This year, Children's Week is being celebrated under the slogan "What does a child need to grow to the sky?". Children's rights and obligations according to the European Convention on the Rights of the Child were presented to the children through various clips of educational content.

Creative and artistic workshops were organized where items with autumn motifs were made, after which the most successful work products were chosen. Socializing continued with music, dancing and balloons.

The project "Empowerment of refugee women and children" is implemented by the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization with the support of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA).
