EHO-appeal 2022, support for vulnerable Roma families during covid-19

The Ecumenical humanitarian organization provided humanitarian aid packages to vulnerable Roma families on the territory of Serbia through the project "EHO-Appeal 2022, support for vulnerable Roma families during Covid-19", which was supported by the program from Germany Hoffnung fur Osteruropa - HfO and Diakonie Württemberg.
In the period from January to September 2022, 150 food and hygiene aid packages were distributed as a form of emergency intervention to families who were additionally affected by the consequences of the crisis caused by the COVID 19 pandemic.
Given that these mapped Roma families are spread throughout Serbia, the distribution of the packages was carried out through the Network of Local Integration Associates who made sure that the help would reach the neediest families.
Humanitarian aid in the form of food packages, means for personal hygiene and space hygiene was distributed to the most vulnerable Roma residents in the following municipalities and cities of the Republic of Serbia: Novi Sad, Sremska Mitrovica, Vladičin Han, Surdulica, Novi Bečej, Stari Bečej, Bačko Petrovo Selo, Bačka Palanka , Smederevska Palanka, Bujanovac, Babušnica, Pirot, Kikinda, Crepaja, Mali Iđoš, Kruševac, Kragujevac, Lebane, etc.
This distribution is a part of the wider efforts of the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization to help eliminate the consequences caused by the coronavirus pandemic in Serbia.
