On the occasion of the World Mental Health Day in Reception Center Sombor

On the occasion of the World Mental Health Day, which is celebrated around the world on October 10, the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization, together with the Center for Social Work and the IOM (International Organization for Migration), held an educational and creative workshop in PC Sombor, through the project "Empowerment of Women and refugee children".

In the first part of the workshop, the participants talked about what mental health means to them and how their stay in the camp, as well as the path they traveled, affects their mental health.

In the second part of the workshop, the participants creatively proposed different activities that could make the stay in the camp easier. All the time during the workshop, they highlighted as the most important for maintaining mental health are talking with friends, attending workshops and listening to music. There were 7 people aged 17 to 25 who participated in the workshop.

The project "Empowerment of refugee women and children" is implemented by the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization with the support of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA).
