Organized visits to schools
16. Dec 2022.
At the end of the first half of the 2022/2023 school year, visits were organized to the primary schools "Matko Vuković" in Subotica and "Ivo Lola Ribar" in Ruma to monitor the implementation of activities aimed at better educational integration of children and youth from marginalized groups. The EHO project team spoke with the children, pedagogical assistants and support teams within schools (made up of principals, pedagogues, psychologists and teachers). Children from the first to the eighth grade are included in the project, with a special focus on children in the first, fifth and eighth grades. Activities carried out within the project are: Individual mentoring support, workshops, help with school supplies, with periodic meetings and workshops for teachers. In addition, six schools involved in the project received technical support to improve the work with children, thus schools in Subotica and Ruma chose an interactive whiteboard to contribute to the increase of the school's capacity and develop competencies in digital literacy.
The project is realized with the financial support of the Brot für die Welt and Diakonie Württemberg International from Germany.
