We commemorate this day with the story of Fadi, who wrote the pages of his life through his drawing.

The drawing and video were created at the occupation workshops held at the Reception Center in Sombor as part of the project "Humanitarian Assistance and Protection Related Interventions to People on the Move in Serbia". The workshops are led by Ivana Inđin with the assistance of Tatjana Marticki.

The story behind the drawing - A lifetime of family reunions with each other

I am Fadi.
I am 47 years old.
I come from Syria.
I am poor, I have no money.
I think about my wife, whom I love very much and my children.
I miss them.
I would do anything to be together and to provide them with better living conditions.
My oldest child cannot speak, cannot move, has cerebral palsy and is in a wheelchair.
It has no possibility of getting professional help in Syria,
And that’s why I want to be able to go to Germany, there is care for such children.
I will find a job in Germany,
I will earn and we will be together again.
