Donated tools for economic empowerment of beneficiaries

21. Dec 2022.

Within the new cycle of the project, beneficiaries Bego Halilović from Sremska Mitrovica, Goran Spasojević and Senad Hopić from Laćark and Lazar Novaković from Čurug were supported.

Bego Halilović made the decision to become independent and develop his business as part of his painting business. The donated tool gives him the opportunity and enables him to be competitive on the market and offer more of his services.

By analyzing the needs of his environment, Goran Spasojević came to the conclusion that he could use his knowledge of construction works to provide his family with economic stability. The production of fert beds as well as the concreting of various surfaces are just some of the services he can now provide.

Senad Hopić has been engaged in repairing and selling used white goods for many years. The devices that were donated give him the opportunity to find and remove the malfunction more easily and quickly on his own, which results in higher earnings.

Lazar Novaković from Čurug is involved in the production of various wooden products, which he sells mainly at the local market in his town, but often in the surrounding area. Lazar often found himself in a situation where, due to inadequate tools, he could not produce the required quantities. Now, for the first time, he has the opportunity to respond to the needs of the market and produce a larger number of products that he will be able to sell.

The project "Education and economic empowerment of marginalized groups" is implemented with the support of Brot für die Welt and Diakonie Württemberg / Hoffnung für Osteuropa from Germany.
