On the occasion of the announcement of the new EHO public call for self-employment, the coordinator of the " Assistance for a New Start " project, Ana Birgeš, was a guest on Dunav TV, in the Danube Afternoon show, on December 15, 2022. She explained that this is part of the assistance within the project intended for returnees from Germany and other countries of Western Europe, which also partially supports non-returnees who live in the same conditions of poverty.

With this assistance, a tool worth 750 euros was provided for self-employment of unemployed persons, i.e. those starting a small business of their own. Those registered must also undergo organized training on writing a business plan, and in addition to the tools that the Commission assigns to the most vulnerable with the best business plans, the beneficiaries of this assistance are also provided with the assistance of an economic consultant in developing their business until the end of this project in May 2023.

It was also mentioned in the show that EHO has many years of practice in the field of self-employment of vulnerable groups through various projects, some of which with even wider support enable users to establish smaller companies.
