On Thursday, May 25, an excursion was organized for children who are part of the "Service Center - Starting Point" and "Additional educational support for returnee children" projects. The goal of these two projects is the (re)integration of returnees living in Novi Sad.

Novi Sad is the city where they live, but many children have never been to the very center of the city, nor are they familiar with all the cultural sights that exist. After school hours, 19 children and young people, together with collaborators on projects, headed from Veliki Rit (non-standard suburban housing area in Novi Sad) to the center of Novi Sad. As part of the aforementioned projects, German language workshops and "My Story" workshops are held every Thursday in the Service Center for returnee children, children who lived with their families in one of the states of the Federal Republic of Germany, and the Service Center is also used for homework and support tutor when mastering the teaching material. After visiting the center, they went together to the Youth Theater where they enjoyed the play "How to build character".

The mentioned projects are part of the project "Strengthening national and local systems to support the effective socio-economic integration of returnees in the Western Balkans" funded by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
