In the Reception Center in Šid-Station, a preventive workshop on the topic of Hygiene was held last week, organized by associates of the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization, engaged in the project "Empowerment of Refugee Women and Children", and with the help of the Refugee and Migration Commissariat (KIRS), the Center for Social work and organizations "International Organization for Migration" (IOM).

In the presence of 19 unaccompanied minors, who are users of Reception Center Šid-Station, a discussion was held about the implementation and maintenance of personal and general hygiene of the space where they stay. The conversation was conducted face-to-face and interactively, after which the users, with the help of the workshop leader, created instructions for proper hand washing, and then tidied up the rooms they were staying in and cleaned the camp yard.

With these activities, children's responsibility, cohesion and belonging to the group were encouraged, and at the same time awareness was raised about the importance of space maintenance and health preservation.

The project "Empowerment of Refugee Women and Children" is implemented by the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization with the support of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) .
