Every trade is worth its weight in gold but it cannot be done without good tools – no tools, no trade
14. Dec 2023.
Saška Ignjac, a young woman from the Klisa neighborhood in Novi Sad, knows this formula well. It is precisely this well-known combination of tools and crafts that gives her the chance to open the door through which she will initiate changes and build a professional life.
Saška learns the hairdressing trade, hones it in a hairdressing salon in Novi Sad. She attended a training for a male hairdresser, wheres she noticed that men pay more and more attention to their appearance. She is talented and skilled. She is ready to further improve herself, acquire knowledge and skills in the salon, which she will apply in her future independent work.
Saška is mastering her craft, becoming more skilfull every day, and thanks to her abilities, she received the tool donation from the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization.
Support for Saška is part of the project "Education and economic empowerment of marginalized groups", which is implemented with the support of Brot für die Welt and Diakonie Württemberg / Hoffnung für Osteuropa from Germany.
Until June 2024, EHO will help thirty more people get the tools they need more easily and quickly in order to be able to work, become independent and build a more certain future for themselves.
