Scouts from Vojvodina brought the Bethlehem flame of joy and peace to the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization in Novi Sad today, in the week before Christ's birth is celebrated.

The flame from the eternal fire of the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem has been brought to Vienna every December by scouts from Austria since the mid-1980s. Scouts from all over Europe then gather, share the flame of joy and peace among themselves and continue to spread it.

The flame that is passed from candle to candle and that burns until Christmas symbolizes unity and mutual trust between people.
