The ecumenical humanitarian organization handed over tools and work equipment for six beneficiaries last week. The following were supported: Danijel Nikolić, Nikola Draganov and Vladimir Putnik from Ilandža, Dejan Krudulj from Dobrica, Nataša Jovanović from Seleuš and Milenko Bogdanović from Banatski Karlovac. The selection of beneficiaries was made in cooperation with the Center for Social Work Alibunar.

Danijel Nikolić is a young man with a primary school education who maintains green areas. He lives with his parents. The equipment will enable him to accept jobs and work together with his father, to be more efficient, to work even better, as well as to earn more and improve the standard of the family.

Nikola Draganov lives with his wife and two adult daughters. He finished elementary school, and got tools for construction work. The ladder that EHO gave him will be of particular use to him and will enable him to perform his work professionally.

Vladimir Putnik is a young man, lives with his grandmother. He finished elementary school. A tool for the maintenance of green areas will come in very handy - in addition to doing agricultural work, he is engaged in mowing the grass around the houses and cutting wood.

Dejan Krudulj is a single parent who lives with his father and four children. He graduated from elementary school, engaged in the maintenance of green areas and minor repairs of equipment and tools. Dejan is very hardworking and motivated to work, given that he is the only member of the family who earns money. His son is slowly starting to work with him and soon he will be a very important support to his father in earning income for the family.

Nataša Jovanović lives in her own house with her husband and three children. She received the tool for providing manicure and pedicure services. She is motivated to start a business in a village where there is no special competition. Having her own business will allow her to work from home and be close to her children.

Milenko Bogdanović is 64 years old, a person with disabilities and lives in very difficult conditions. He is engaged in mowing, collecting secondary raw materials and other minor jobs from which he supports himself. He received a tool for maintaining green areas. He earns a very modest income by performing various jobs, most often the demanding ones, mowing neglected green areas. He is very hardworking and, despite his disability, always ready to work. Among the locals, he is known for his quality work and willingness to get the job done quickly. Acquiring a trimmer gives him a chance to earn more and improve his economic status.

The EHO support action is part of the project "Education and Economic Empowerment of Marginalized Groups", and is implemented with the support of Brot für die Welt and Diakonie Württemberg / Hoffnung für Osteuropa from Germany.
