EHO recently supported three beneficiaries from Beočin by purchasing tools and work equipment within the project "Education and Economic Empowerment of Marginalized Groups", implemented with the support of Brot für die Welt and Diakonie Württemberg / Hoffnung für Osteuropa from Germany.

Fazlija Murina lives with her husband and daughter. After 25 years of work at the Cementara in Beočin he was dismissed as redundant. Then he engaged in various jobs - wood cutting, house painting and locksmith services to support his family. His existing work tools are old and worn out preventings him from taking jobs with more substantial revenue, and he often has to borrow equipment from others. The new equipment will increase his efficiency and quality of work, and hopefully enable a steady income.

Omar Omerović lives with his wife and four sons. For many years, together with his father, he was engaged in construction work and that's how he supports his family now. Construction equipment will enable him to do some jobs, primarily ceramics, with better quality and speed.

Albert Aliji, who lives with his wife and three children, graduated from elementary school and provides painting services to support his family. For many years, he was also engaged in construction work. Now he works in a team with five other colleagues, which allows them to cover the entire interior decoration of the buildings. The equipment acquired through this small grant shall enable him to complete the equipment set necessary for professional and quality work.
