Pedagogical assistants and professional associates from seven Serbian primary schools participated in the training "Developing professional orientation activities in elementary schools" in Kragujevac on February 27.

The training was held as part of the project "Social inclusion for a dignified life of Roma and other vulnerable persons in the Republic of Serbia", which is implemented by the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization - EHO.

Deciding what to do in the future is one of the most challenging questions for young people. Professional orientation and counseling provides students with guidelines to navigate the decision-making process and develop the skills needed to successfully continue their education and work in the modern world.

The participants had the opportunity to improve their knowledge and skills, and also practically exchange experiences on the activities of guiding students to continue their education and choose their future desired profession.

Professional orientation is a very complex procedure that involves various processes and support to students toward further insight into students' own abilities, personality traits, interests and preferences.

During the one-day seminar, the professional associates acquired skills on methods, techniques, activities and resources they can apply in their schools related with the professional orientation of students.

Pedagogical assistants, professional associates and professional orientation teams from primary schools participated in the training:
 "Bora Radić" - Bavanište,
"Vojvoda Putnik" - Ripanj,
"Despot Stefan Lazarevic" - Belgrade, Zvezdara,
"Karađorđe" - Velika Plana
"Olga Milošević" - Smedervska Palanka,
"October 19" - Kragujevac,
"Vuk Stefanović Karadžić" - Niš.
