EHO presentation at the "Entrepreneurs and Business Fair" in Novi Sad

25. Apr 2024.

Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization presented the project "Education and Economic Empowerment of Marginalized Groups" at the "Entrepreneurs and Business Fair" in Novi Sad/Serbia, organized by the "Pavle Savić" Technical School from Novi Sad. The goal of the fair was to help pupils on their career and professional path, and also to prepare and familiarize themselves with the labor market. The fact that last year two students of this school, after completing their education, received a startup grant from EHO in the form of tools and equipment to perform the work for which they were trained, was particularly highlighted.

The fair was opened by the Provincial Secretary for Economy and Tourism, Nenad Ivanišević, Ph.D., and school director Mila Kostić, M.Sc. In addition to EHO, the following presented themselves at the fair: JKP Vodovod i Kanalizacija, DOO Danubius, DOO Don Don, DOO Nektar, PIK Bečej, DOO Karneks, Fruškogorske Terme Hotel, Heineken Brewery, City Administration for Environmental Protection, National Employment Service. The companies introduced themselves and offered positions for which a high school graduate can apply, and pointed out which occupations with a university degree have the greatest need for them.

Pavle Savić Technical School is one of six schools in Vojvodina with which cooperation has been established on the project "Education and Economic Empowerment of Marginalized Groups", where, in addition to support for achieving the best possible school achievements, work is also done on preparing students for the labor market through various workshops, training and allocation of tools and equipment. The project is realized with the support of Brot für die Welt and Diakonie Württemberg / Hoffnung für Osteuropa from Germany.
