In the period from May 14 to 17, the annual meeting of the assembly of Eurodiaconia, the European network of churches and diaconal organizations that provide social and health care services and advocate for social justice, was held in Bucharest (Romania). The theme of this year's meeting was the relationship between diaconia and democracy. Multi-day lectures, workshops and field visits were aimed at deepening the understanding of the role of diaconal organizations and individuals in the promotion of a more inclusive and resilient democratic society to various challenges. The representative of the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization at this gathering was Damir Krkobabić, project coordinator.
