EHO continues to support economic empowerment in Beočin
01. Jul 2024.
The Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization has been actively supporting the economic empowerment of the local population in Beočin for more than 15 years. Through its programs, the organization has so far helped more than 20 candidates by providing them with various tools and types of support, which enabled them to generate stable incomes and improve their business capacities.
Due to the great interest and the number of registered candidates, with the support of the Roma coordinator Ismet Ademovski, on June 27, 2024, a training was organized and held in the premises of the Municipality of Beočin. During the training, candidates presented their business ideas and, with the support of the EHO team, completed business plans. These plans have shown great potential for further development and a number of candidates, who successfully pass all rounds of selection, will receive support.
This three-year project, entitled "Education and Economic Empowerment of Marginalized Groups" is being implemented by the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization with the support of German partners Brot für die Welt and Diakonie Württemberg/Hoffnung für Osteuropa.
The project aims to improve the quality of life of marginalized groups through education and economic empowerment, providing them with the necessary skills and resources for independent business.
