The Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization (EHO) organizes a tailoring and sewing course at the EHO Day Center for People with Disabilities, Ćirila i Metodija Street 21, Novi Sad/Serbia.

The program envisages mastering the initial skills of tailoring and sewing for the duration of 32 school hours, theoretical and practical training. It will be held once a week (on Wednesdays from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.) and will begin on August 28, 2024. The course is free of charge and priority is given to people from marginalized and less employable categories.  

During selection, preference will be given to persons according to the following criteria:

4. Unemployed persons over 40 years old... 8

5. Unemployed persons and persons without income... 6

8. Highly motivated people... 5

9. Assessment of the usefulness of skills for a person... 6

10. Other less employable persons... 5

11. People over 50 years old... 5

After the first round of selection according to the points list, the coordinator and workshop leader will conduct an interview with the candidates, make a decision and inform the candidates by phone.

Classes are taught by a qualified and very experienced instructor, and after completing the course, participants receive a certificate of attendance.

The training is based exclusively on practical work and prepares participants for work in tailoring salons.
