04. Sep 2024.
The Elementary School "Bora Radić" from Bavanište applied for support from the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization with the project "Intercultural Corner", within the project "Social inclusion for a dignified life of Roma and other vulnerable people in the Republic of Serbia 2023-2026".
Primary school "Bora Radić" is attended by a large number of pupils of Roma nationality, so the implementation of the teaching of the Roma language is of key importance for inclusion.
The "Intercultural Corner" project is aimed at improving the quality of teaching the Roma language, strengthening student motivation, introducing innovations into the teaching process and promoting Romani culture and customs. This space is designed to be a place for joint activities and projects, which further supports the integration and interconnection of pupils of different nationalities.
One of the main goals of the project is to create unity among pupils, improve mutual connection and encourage a positive and safe atmosphere in the school.
After the space was successfully equipped and digitally modernized through the joint engagement of students and teachers, workshops were organized aimed at encouraging joint work and cooperation among all pupils. These workshops were not only an opportunity for pupils to get acquainted with new technologies and materials, but also to actively participate in joint activities that strengthen team spirit and mutual understanding.
Such an approach allows all pupils, regardless of their differences, to connect, exchange ideas and contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive environment.
The project "Social inclusion for a dignified life of Roma and other vulnerable persons in the Republic of Serbia 2023-2026" is financed by HEKS EPER, Switzerland.
