18. Sep 2024.

The Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization organized a forum theater workshop that took place in Arandjelovac from September 13 to 15. The participants of the workshop were students from the following schools: Elementary School "Bora Radić" Bavanište, Elementary School "Vojvoda Putnik" Ripanj, Elementary School "19. Oktobar" Kragujevac, Elementary School "Karađorđe" Velika Plana, Elementary School "Vuk Karadžić" Niš and Elementary School "Jovan Grčić Milenko" Beočin. The group was mixed in terms of religion and nationality.

The goals of the workshop were:
 * Getting to know the concept of discrimination, types of discrimination, with a special focus on the Roma national minority.
 * Understanding one's own role in the fight against discrimination.
 * Developing a sense of alliance and empathy so that students can help their peers in the fight against discrimination.
 * Transferring the acquired knowledge to your peers through the performance of skits in your schools.

Also, the participants learned how to apply the forum theater model in their schools. This model allows students to explore and solve problems of discrimination and insecurity through interactive performances and discussions, which will enable them to promote respect for diversity and equality among their peers, regardless of skin color, national and religious affiliation.
