Grants for the local Roma initiatives

The Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization (EHO) started the project "Strengthening of local Roma organizations", which aims to strengthen and build the capacities of smaller Roma citizens' associations in AP Vojvodina for:
1. launching local initiatives that respond to the social, educational, cultural and other needs of the Roma community and
2. improvement and promotion of the position of the Roma community at the local level through the implementation of small local projects/initiatives.
Within the project, training will be organized for representatives of Roma organizations in relation to project management, mapping and mobilization of resources in the local community. The training will take place on October 14, 2024 in Novi Sad (Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization, Ćirila i Metodija 21) starting at 10 a.m.
Representatives of the organizations will, during and after the training with mentor support, develop ideas about their local initiatives aimed at improving the position of the Roma community in the territory of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina (APV) and propose their initiatives in the form of small projects (the form for filling will be available during training in Novi Sad).
The 6 best local initiatives will be selected for support and funding. Selected Roma organizations will be awarded grants in the amount of RSD 150,000 for the implementation of these small local projects.
Representatives of small Roma organizations who wish to participate in this competition should apply for training by filling out the FORM (in Serbian) and sending it to the e-mail address: katalin@ehons.org, no later than October 9, 2024. until 2 p.m.
All accepted candidates, or representatives of Roma organizations, will be informed on October 10, 2024. on the details of participation in the training in Novi Sad. Travel expenses are borne by the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization.
