Club for girls from Elementary School "Bora Radić" visiting the President of the Municipality of Kovin

On October 22, members of the Club for Girls from Primary School "Bora Radić" from Bavanište visited the headquarters of the local self-government in Kovin.

During the visit, the girls had the opportunity to learn more about the work of various municipal services and to see first-hand how their community functions. They met the reception and registry office, and a special moment was the reception in the office of the president of the municipality, Violeta Ocokoljić. The president gave an inspiring speech about the importance of education and the active inclusion of girls in society.

The visit ended with a tour of the House of Culture, theater and library, where the girls enjoyed the world of books and cultural institutions. This experience is an important step towards their empowerment and future engagement in the community.

The girls' club of Elementary School "Bora Radić" is one of 7 clubs that were formed through the project "Social inclusion for a dignified life of Roma and other vulnerable people in Serbia", which is implemented by the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization and financed by HEKS EPER, Switzerland.
