EHO at the Eurodiaconia Funding Network Meeting in Brussels

Sastanak članova stručne grupe za EU finansiranje u prostorijama Eurodiaconia, 14.11.2024.

11. Dec 2024.

The Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization, as a member of the network of organizations brought together by Eurodiaconia, has been involved in the work of the group for financing from EU and other funds since the beginning of 2024. The members of this group are representatives of diaconal organizations from European countries with experience in implementing projects financed from EU funds.

Eurodiaconia organised a funding network meeting for its members to exchange best practices in fundraising and accessing European funding for social innovation and to receive direct information from European Commission project experts on the EU funding framework for the coming period. The members of this group had the opportunity to explore opportunities and ways for international cooperation between organisations and across a range of initiatives. As we look ahead to the next multiannual financial framework, this meeting was also an opportunity for members to discuss their priorities for funding social inclusion, poverty alleviation, community building and basic services in Europe.

The objectives of this meeting are:
1. To deepen the understanding of EU funding programmes, in particular the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) and the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+);
2. To facilitate mutual learning among members on fundraising and grant access opportunities for social innovation and social services;
3. To encourage cooperation and networking among members in responding to EU calls for proposals;

The meeting was organized by Eurodiaconia, on November 14, 2024 at the organization's headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.
