EHO Visitations to primary schools in Stepojevac and Trnava

04. Jul 2025.
As of the July 2025, Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization began the fourth cycle of the implementation of the project “Support to the Education of Socially Deprived Children and Youth in Serbia”. This project, which will last for the next three years, will include two new schools: the “Vuk Karadžić” Elementary School in the rural settlement of Stepojevac, Lazarevac Municipality, and the “Đura Jakšić” School in the town of Trnava near Novi Pazar.
The project team visited these two schools, got acquainted with their work and the social structure of the pupils, and went through the details of its implementation with all the people who would be involved in the project. On that occasion, memorandums of cooperation were signed with the school directors Verica Anđelić and Sanela Međedović. The memorandums represent a framework for the implementation of activities aimed at improving the educational integration of children and youth from marginalized groups.
With this project, the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization, with the support of the German organization Brot für die Welt, wants to support the efforts of schools and local communities to achieve positive personal, social and economic changes by investing in the education of poor children.
