Our field associates in the EHO project "Empowerment of refugee women, children and unaccompanied minors" in the Principovac Center for refugees, made birdhouses with minors residing in the Center. This is a part of their regularly organized creative and artistic workshops, implemented with the help of the Commissariat for Refugees of the Republic of Serbia and the Center for Social Work Šid.

The bird-houses are made of plywood and EVA foam, decorated and painted with acrylic paints and decoupage technique. The boys gladly participated in their making, and 12 of them went through these birdhouse making  workshops.

The goal of these workshops is to encourage creative abilities, develop oculomotor skills, foster mutual tolerance through group work, and also create a pleasant working atmosphere. The bird-houses will be exhibited in the courtyard and lobby of the Center and will preserve the memory of the boys who stayed there and contributed to the decoration of their temporary dwelling space.
