A New EHO Project Cycle Started

29. Aug 2025.

The project "Education and Economic Empowerment of Marginalized Groups - Continuation", which is being implemented by the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization (EHO) with the support of German donors Brot für die Welt and Diakonie Württemberg/Hoffnung für Osteuropa, will continue for the next three years.

Since the beginning of its implementation, the project has provided support to a large number of Roma, internally displaced persons, returnees and other socially vulnerable groups in Vojvodina, connecting two important areas - education and economic empowerment. The continuation of the project brings new opportunities for children and young people to develop their potential in schools, as well as for families to gain a more stable and secure life.

The first meeting of associates in the new cycle brought together teachers, pedagogical assistants from Novi Sad, Zrenjanin, Ruma and Subotica, who will provide support to students and their families through the educational component. Through discussions and exchange of experiences, steps were planned for better and more efficient assistance, with a focus on an inclusive and stimulating environment for students throughout Vojvodina.

In parallel, the economic component of the project provides training, mentoring, and support in purchasing tools to start and improve small businesses, creating sustainable sources of income and a chance for long-term stability for families. In this way, education and economic security together strengthen individuals, families, and communities.
