EHO brings girls together at the start of the new school-year

The Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization (EHO) has once again shown their commitment to the empowering of girls and women from marginalized communities. As part of the project “Empowering Roma Women and Girls”, implemented with the support of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), EHO organized a meeting with girls from the Girls’ Club.
The meeting was held at the premises of the EHO, and the focus was on planning future activities and marking important dates – with a special emphasis on October 11th, the International Day of the Girl Child.
Through this project, girls receive concrete and direct support, including material assistance that allows them to continue their education without worry. During the meeting, the talks were focused on their educational plans and their specific needs ahead of the start of the new school year.
The goal of the gathering was to design the steps ahead together with the girls and hear their ideas, especially the challenges they face. EHO remains committed to the supporting of girls that they may have equal opportunities for education, development and a dignified life.
In this way, we once again emphasize the empowerment of girls, which is crucial for building a more inclusive and just society.
